Andrea Winston, LPC, has served as Chief Executive Officer since June 2014, but has been with the company for over twenty-five (25) years. She has served in numerous roles, such as Program Director, Program Coordinator, and Clinical Director. Ms. Winston is a 1988 graduate of Tuskegee University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and she is a 1991 graduate of Georgia State University, where she received a Master's in Counseling Psychology. She has dedicated her life to the social services field, and she is a leader with a special talent for building cooperative and productive work environments.
Denise Wade McLeod, LPC, LMFT, CPCS, CAC II, has served as Chief Operating Officer since June 2023. Denise has served in numerous roles since joining the New Horizons Team in 2010, including Group Counselor at Midtown Recovery Program, Program Director of numerous programs, Adult MH/AD Coordinator, Clinical Director, and Project Director of several SAMHSA grants. Denise is responsible for the oversight of agency operations including Clinical Services, Operations, Compliance, and Court Services.
Susan Gallagher has been a part of the New Horizons team for over twenty (20) years, and she assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer in July of 2023. Over the course of her professional career with the organization, she has worked to bring federal and state grant funds to much needed programs and projects. Susan served in the US Army as a medical officer, and she is a 1993 graduate of Columbus College (Columbus State University), where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Dr. Minor is responsible for managing the team of medical providers. He works with the rest of the executive team to develop programs and maintain policies to ensure all clients receive the best evidence-based care possible. Dr. Minor received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, which is also where he completed his residency in psychiatry and fellowship in child psychiatry. He is board certified in Psychiatry and Child Psychiatry.
Karen Cotton-Everett, LPC, has been a part of New Horizons’ team since July 2007. She has served as Clinical Director since June 2023. Over the years, Karen has also served as the organization’s Revenue Acquisition Department Coordinator, Compliance Officer, I/DD Department Coordinator, and Residential Services Coordinator. Karen received a Master’s degree in Community Counseling from Columbus State University in 2006.
