Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Days: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with a 1-hour lunch break

Works with the following population: Male and female adults with a mental health disorder and/or addictive diseases.

Salary: $36,915.84 per year


Under general supervision, the following is expected of the candidate:

The Social Services Technician II in the capacity of a Case Manager is a pivotal role dedicated to providing comprehensive support and guidance to individuals and families navigating social services. As a Case Manager, you will be responsible for assessing needs, coordinating services, and advocating for clients to ensure they receive the assistance required for improved well-being and self-sufficiency. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with clients and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Ability to assess complex situations and develop practical solutions in collaboration with clients and other service providers. Previous experience in case management or a related field is preferred.

  • Experience working with justice-involved populations, including individuals participating in accountability courts, diversion programs, probation, or re-entry services. Ability to stay informed about developments in the field of recovery and participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with semi-residential or structured treatment environments, such as recovery residences, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), or day treatment settings.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including court staff, treatment providers, probation officers, and community agencies, reviewing client progress and make recommendations for adjustments to recovery plans.
  • Experience conducting needs assessments and maintaining accurate and up to date documentation, developing service plans, monitoring client progress, and documenting case notes in accordance with agency and court standards. Prepare reports to ensure compliance with confidentiality regulations (HIPAA/42 CFR Part 2) and program requirements.
  • Prior exposure to evidence-based practices commonly used in court-mandated treatment settings (e.g., CBT-informed interventions, motivational interviewing) is preferred. Provide emotional support and guidance, offering recovery tools based on lived experience. Work with care teams to address barriers and help as needed.
  • Experience navigating community resources, such as housing, employment supports, transportation, and behavioral health services. Help connect clients or families with community resources such as education, healthcare, support groups, and social services. Assist in accessing benefits like Medicaid, SNAP, and other necessary services.
  • Proficiency in crisis response, Provide support during crises, utilizing personal recovery strategies to help stabilize situations and engage emergency services if necessary.
  • Peer Support, Advocacy & Mentorship: Offer full time peer support, sharing personal experiences with parenting a child with mental health challenges. Assist clients or families in setting and achieving recovery goals, providing guidance and encouragement.


Minimum Qualifications:

Must have a high school diploma/GED. Must be a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) or be willing to obtain certification within one year of the date of hire (DOH). Experience, education or training in social services is a plus. Must have a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle with valid car insurance, as transporting is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related discipline is desirable.
