Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)


Program Name: Medical Services Unit

Works with the following population: Male and female individuals with a mental health diagnosis, developmental disabilities, and addictive diseases.

Location(s) this position will serve: Muscogee County, and occasionally the other 7 counties we serve.

Days & Time: This position will work 40 hours a week. Most programs work Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm, with a 1-hour break.

Pay: $39,428.41 per year

Job Responsibilities

Under general supervision, the candidate will:

  • Triage and room patients being seen for care. 
  • Assist with completing prior authorizations for psychiatric treatment and services.
  • Manage messages from patients and effectively communicate needs to their psychiatric team for resolution. 
  • Monitor crisis patients being sent to crisis stabilization units.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or GED. Must have CMA certification for at least 6 months. Must have 1 year of direct patient care experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with individuals with mental disabilities and/or addictive diseases.
