Under general supervision, the candidate will work with the I/DD population and will:
The candidate will provide direct training of basic personal and social skills and may provide simple work skills in a supported employment environment. He/She will assist with basic assessments to determine functional abilities. In addition, the candidate will use observational skills to remain aware of behavior and physical conditions. Other duties may also be assigned.
Program: DD Columbus Service Center
Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Days position will work: Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm.
Population: I/DD individuals
Location(s) this position will serve: Muscogee County, Harris County, and Talbot County
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. The candidate must have a driver's license and a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), as he/she may occasionally utilize the an agency vehicle assigned to the program. At least two (2) years of experience in the field or working with the I/DD population.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Salary: $23,720 per year
