Position Title: Health Information System Specialist

Program Name: Information Technology

Works with the following population: Agency-wide Staff

Days & Time: This position will work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Some weekend availability required.

Pay: $50,000-$68,000 per year.


Job Responsibilities

The Health Information System Specialist will do the following:  

  • Maintain and support the agency's Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, with primary focus on CareLogic.
  • Perform EHR system table maintenance, configuration updates, and reference data management.
  • Support deployment of EHR forms, surveys, workflows, and patient portal updates.
  • Conduct routine data audits, validation, and cleanup to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide Tier 1 EHR support to staff, including troubleshooting access, documentation, and workflow issues.
  • Assist with testing and validation of EHR changes prior to production deployment.
  • Support new staff onboarding related to EHR access and usage.
  • Collaborate with IT, clinical, billing, and operational teams to support EHR functionality.
  • Troubleshoot EHR issues and escalate complex system or vendor-related matters to CareLogic Support when needed.
  • Assist with audit preparation, reporting support, and compliance documentation as needed.


Minimum Requirements:

Associate degree or coursework in Health Information Systems, Health Informatics, IT, or related field. One (1) to three (3) years of experience supporting an EHR system (CareLogic strongly preferred). Experience with EHR configuration, maintenance, or data management. Experience providing user support or basic training in a healthcare or behavioral health setting.
