IT Support Specialist

We are seeking a tech-savvy, customer-focused IT Support Specialist to provide frontline support for users experiencing technical issues. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot hardware and software problems, manage service requests, and ensure the smooth operation of IT systems across the organization. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Respond to IT support tickets via phone, email, ticketing system
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Support end-users with Microsoft Office, Windows/Mac OS, and commonly used business applications.
  • Perform system updates, patches, and virus scans to maintain IT security and performance.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and password resets in Active Directory and other systems.
  • Set up and maintain audio/visual equipment for meetings and presentations.
  • Document issues, solutions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborate with the IT team on larger projects like system rollouts, migrations, and upgrades.
  • Provide remote support for off-site employees as needed.
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies.

Working Conditions

  • On-site work during regular business hours with occasional after-hours or weekend support.

  • May involve lifting and moving IT equipment (up to 40 lbs). 

Minimum Requirements: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Must have 1 to 3 years of experience in IT support or a helpdesk environment. Strong understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and basic networking concepts. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. CompTIA A+, Network+, or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ITSM tools. Knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, VPNs, and remote desktop tools. Basic scripting (PowerShell, Bash) is a bonus. Familiarity with mobile device management solutions.

Days & Time: This position will work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday. Most programs work from 8am to 5pm, with a one-hour lunchbreak.

Pay: $43,680 per year
