Compliance Specialist
Program: Corporate Compliance
Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Location(s) served: All New Horizons programs
Population served: New Horizons' affiliates.
Days & Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm
Salary: $41,200 per year
Job Responsibilities
Under general supervision, the candidate will be expected to:
- Complete, submit, and track critical incident reports.
- Complete and submit 30-day follow-up reports and corrective action plans.
- Provide training and feedback to programs regarding critical incident reports.
- Assist in leading agency level investigations.
- Provide follow-up for completion of corrective action plans and program level reports and investigations.
- Facilitate Compliance and Ethics training in new hire orientation.
- Participate as a member of the Environment of Care, Critical Incident Debriefing team, Clinical Care and other committees as assigned.
- Complete quarterly site visits/monitoring of residential programs, MH clinics, and day programs.
- Assist Risk and Safety Officer by providing quarterly reports of programs' compliance for drills and inspections, and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Must have three (3) to five (5) years of behavioral health service delivery.
- Must demonstrate expertise in the following areas of health care:
- data analytics, measurement, and analysis
- client safety
- compliance with standards and regulations
- Must have a working knowledge of CARF, DBHDD, CCBHC regulations, and a general knowledge of behavioral health treatment.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS office products and demonstrate strong computer skills.
- Must be able to synthesize date, generate reports and make recommendations.
- Knowledge of agency, CMS (Medicaid/Medicare), HIPAA, and other federal and state health care regulatory compliance regulations.
- Must be highly organized, a quick learner, and detail oriented.
