Group Counselor (SST 2)

The candidate will be responsible for: Conducting evidence-based group sessions with individuals who have been identified with a substance abuse disorder; Documenting daily notes on progress in groups; Providing resources in the surrounding community that aid in maintaining sobriety; Aiding in increasing coping and basic living skills.

Program Name: Midtown Recovery

Works with the following population: Male and female individuals with addictive diseases.

Minimum Requirements: High school diploma / GED with three (3) to five (5) years of experience in this field -OR- the completion of a Bachelor's degree in social science (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, or a related discipline)
and one (1) year of full-time experience working with individuals with mental health disorders and/or addictive diseases. Must have Bachelor's in above named fields to be MHC eligible (Mental Health Clinician).

Preferred Qualifications
: A Bachelor's Degree and experience in working with individuals with mental disorders and/or addictive diseases.

Days & Time: This position will work 40 hours a week. Monday through Friday. Most programs work from 8am to 5pm, with a one-hour lunchbreak.

Pay: $29,000 per year
